Starting your vacations in Costa Rica by its capital city is undoubtedly a good idea.

San José is the geographic, economic and social center of the country and a destination to discover some of its most iconic points such as the National Theater, the pre-Columbian museums of jade and gold and many shops that offer everything you may need for your trip and that you have forgotten.

Don’t miss, at the end of Central Avenue Boulevard, the picturesque Central Market where you will find numerous experiences that will fill your senses with aromas, flavors, and colors.

DAY 2

Arenal

This day our representative will give you your rental car to start your vacation on the beautiful roads of Costa Rica.

We recommend that you leave early to the town of La Fortuna, the closest town to the Arenal Volcano area. The route is stunning, and you will have many opportunities to take photographs and enjoy the characteristic hospitality of Costa Ricans.

But, also, in this route, you will find exuberant cloud forests, which in the afternoons fill the road with a white mantle that makes visibility certainly tricky.

La Fortuna is a small rural town that has been transformed into a tourist center where you can find many options to eat and buy souvenirs. It also has banks, supermarkets, and pharmacies.

Arenal Volcano will be visible, on clear days, long before arriving in town and when you leave it, you will see that the route takes you around it until you reach your hotel, which has a fantastic view of the colossus.

It is an almost perfect cone covered with rainforest on one side and still, today, tons of ashes, stones, and sands on the other. Remnants of the recent eruptions.

This morning at the hotel we will deliver the rental car which will be used throughout the trip.
