DAY 1:
Reception of passengers at the International Airport of Managua and transfer to the hotel in Managua, rest of the day free to explore the surroundings or relax at the hotel.
DAY 2:
Breakfast at the hotel. We begin the day with a tour of the city of Managua, visit the Lomas de Tiscapa Historical Park, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, you will also visit the Historic Center of Managua where the Old Cathedral is located, the Palacio de la Cultura and the Rubén Darío National Theater. Then we continue to the city of León. During the trip we will visit the Ruins of León Viejo, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Rest of the day free.
DAY 3:
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we’ll travel to the town of Chichigalpa to take the rum tour, where you will learn about the history and process of making Flor de Caña rum and have the opportunity to taste its unparalleled quality. We will return to the colonial city of León in time to have lunch. In the afternoon we will tour the town of León, one of the most important in the country thanks to the museums, art galleries and the colorful colonial architecture of its center. We will visit the Rubén Darío Museum, the Ortiz Guardian Foundation and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
DAY 4:
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Granada, on the way we will visit the Masaya Volcano National Park, which the Spaniards baptized as “La Boca del Infierno” or “the Hellmouth”. We arrive at the craters by car, and from there you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the plains and the lake. Then we continue to the city of Masaya where we will have lunch before visiting the famous crafts market, a friendly setting with small shops filled with a variety of great souvenirs of your visit to Nicaragua. Then we move on to Granada, where we will spend the night.
DAY 5:
Breakfast at the hotel. We start the day with a tour of the city where we will visit the San Francisco Museum, La Merced Church Tower and the Central Plaza before having lunch at the Darío Hotel. In the afternoon we will take the Chocolate Tour, where you can see the whole process of obtaining chocolate from the cacao bean and you will have the chance to participate in a workshop to make your own personalized chocolate. Finally we will take a boat trip to visit the Isletas de Granada, originated after a great eruption of the Mombacho volcano. Rest of the day free.
DAY 6:
Breakfast at the hotel. Our first destination to visit on this day is the Mombacho Volcano Natural Reserve, where we will make a trek along the El Crater Trail. During the tour you will have the opportunity to appreciate the ecosystem of the area. We continue to the town of Catarina, famous for its excellent views of the Apoyo Lagoon and Lake Nicaragua behind it, as well as the Mombacho Volcano and the city of Granada. Finally we will visit San Juan de Oriente, a town very close to Catarina whose inhabitants are dedicated to the production of clay pottery. We will visit some pottery workshops where we will learn the process of this craft. Return to Granada.
DAY 7:
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will visit the Fundación Tío Antonio, where differently-abled young people carry out craft work and will offer you a snack at Café de la Sonrisa. Then we will go to the International Airport to get your flight to Corn Island, arriving at Corn Island at approximately 3:30 p.m. where a local taxi will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel, rest of the afternoon free. On this day lunch will be early, since around noon we must be at the airport.
DAYS 8-10:
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days on Corn Island, you can take a ride in local cabs or walk around the island. You can also practice deep-sea and surface diving or just enjoy the beaches.
DAY 11-13:
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the port to get the boat that will take you to Little Corn Island, a true Caribbean paradise thanks to its beaches of white sand and clear turquoise water, its coconut groves and coral reefs. Little Corn Island is located approximately 15 kilometers northeast of Big Corn Island. Free days to explore the area or add an optional activity.
DAY 14:
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Big Corn Island, to take the flight back to Managua arriving at dusk. Upon arrival, private transfer to the hotel. After your check-in we’ll move to Casa de los Mejías Restaurant to enjoy a farewell dinner.
DAY 15:
Breakfast at the hotel. According to your departure time, transfer to the airport to take your flight back home.
