Arrival at the airport, where one of our staff will assist you with locating your luggage and transferring to your hotel. You’ll receive a welcome packet with details of your itinerary, and then our driver will take you to your hotel in a private vehicle.
Early in the morning, private transfer to the airport to get the flight from Managua to Corn Island at 6:30am. A flight of just an hour and a half separates you from the paradisiacal caribbean island. Upon arrival at the island airport, a member of the hotel staff will be waiting to help you get to your hotel on the island or to the port where you can get a boat to Little Corn.
Free time on the island. Optional activities: meditation, sailing, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, kayaking.
Breakfast. In the morning, private transportation will be arranged to the airport to get the 8:10am flight back to Managua. Upon arrival in Managua, your guide will receive you and take you to the Masaya Volcano National Park, where you can observe a lake of lava. For security reasons, only a short visit is allowed, but it is plenty of time to enjoy this spectacular active crater in all its splendor. Just 15 minutes from the Masaya Volcano is the crafts marker of Masaya, the perfect place to purchase souvenirs from your trip to Nicaragua. This is a very friendly place with innumerable small shops containing a huge variety of souvenirs. Then you’ll continue your trip to the beaches of Tola.
Free day in the resort. Optional activities available such as snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, or a visit to the spa.
Breakfast. In the morning you’ll check out of the hotel and your guide will take you to the colonial city of Granada, a site of amazing history, culture and nature. Granada is one of the top tourist destinations in Nicaragua, and one of the most ancient cities on the continent. On this day you’ll take a tour beginning with a short stroll in Independence Plaza, to the Cathedral of Granada where you’ll go up to the bell tower which offers an incredible view of the central park and its surrounding area. You’ll continue your tour with a visit to the San Francisco Convent Museum, where you’ll learn about the different facets of the city, architecture, pre-Columbian, colonial and contemporary history as well as the customs and traditions of the town. The tour will continue to the old train station, the La Pólvora Fortress, the walls of Xalteva from 1746. From the bell tower of the La Merced Church, you can have a 360 degree panoramic view of the city. After lunch, you’ll continue on to the marina, where you’ll take a boat ride around the archipelago of volcanic islets with exuberant flora and fauna for the end of a great day. Return to solid ground and transfer to your hotel.
Free time in the colonial city of Granada. Optional activities available, such as kayaking on Lake Nicaragua, hiking on the Mombacho volcano, or simply strolling through this magnificent city filled with history, culture, and architecture.
At the scheduled time, your driver will arrive to take you the the Managua international airport to get your flight home.
