DAY 1:

Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport. Once passed passport control, one of our representatives will be waiting to help you locate your luggage and indicate where the driver will be to take you to the selected hotel.

DAYS 2-3:

After breakfast one of our representatives will deliver your rental car. Departure to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve located near the town of Santa Elena. This area protects the biodiversity of the region and the water sources that supply several rivers in the country. You will have time to explore Monteverde where, in addition to other activities, you can also get a bird’s eye view of the forest canopy via hanging bridges or by venturing onto the zip lines, as well as observing the great diversity of flora and fauna that the area offers.

DAYS 4-5:

Departure in the morning to the surroundings of the Arenal Volcano National Park and the picturesque town of La Fortuna. The area has hot springs, and you will have enough time to enjoy activities such as hikes on the hanging bridges, La Fortuna Waterfall or the National Park, rafting in the nearby rivers, zip-line adventures or horseback riding, among others, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views from the hotel pool. In the afternoon one of the representatives of the car rental company will visit you at the hotel to make the return.

GRANADA 6-7:

Departure after breakfast to the border of Costa Rica with Nicaragua, switching cars at the border to continue on to the beautiful colonial city of Granada, located on the shore of Lake Nicaragua where the islets formed after the eruption of the Mombacho Volcano, located south of the city. It is one of the most visited areas for the way they preserve the colonial buildings and adobe houses with charming interior patios. We recommend touring this town in a relaxed way aboard a volanta (typical taxi of Granada). Free days to explore the area or add an optional activity.

DAYS 8-9:

The next destination is León. Located in the Northwest of the country, León is a land of volcanoes, beaches and interesting urban centers. Its urban center is in itself an attraction thanks to the museums, art galleries and colorful colonial architecture, its imposing cathedral and the facades of its churches stand out. There is also a wide variety of natural attractions in the city’s vicinity that are worth a visit.

DAYS 10-11:

Time to visit the Bay of San Juan del Sur where you will find beautiful beaches surrounded by an impressive natural environment, its town maintains its Nicaraguan roots so it is an area with great cultural richness and also has a wide range of entertainment and activities.

DAY 12:

Back to Costa Rica! You will switch cars at the border to continue towards Rincón de la Vieja. This National Park is located in the upper parts of the province of Guanacaste. You can visit the trails to enjoy the volcanic landscape and its emissions of steam, as well as several waterfalls and the diverse fauna. For adventure there are activities such as ziplining, tubing, rappelling in the canyons and waterfalls, horseback riding and many other options. Free day to explore the area or add an optional activity.

DAY 13:

Departure to Juan Santamaría International Airport according to your flight schedule. Please note that it is recommended that you check in at least 3 hours before takeoff, and consider extra time to return the rental car.
