Overview

History, Culture and nature in the Jinotega Route.

We begin our tour with a visit to the charming village of San Rafael, where the national hero Augusto Sandino and Father Odorico D’Andrea, now a candidate for sainthood, both lived. Afterwards we will visit Jinotega with its wall paintings, quiet streets and one of the most popular black pottery workshops in the region. Here you have the opportunity to learn how to use the wheel and mold the clay. We end the tour with a cup of coffee in “El Disparate de Potter”, one of the most amazing viewpoints over the mountains.
