Vacations in the Caribbean of Costa Rica

Rate this post

In Costa Rica, there is a saying that goes: “The best of Limón is in its people,” and they are not wrong. This beautiful area has been highly influenced by Afro-Caribbean roots, which has enriched its culture.

Reggae and calypso beats, vibrant colors, extensive green areas, and clear-water beaches make an amazingly beautiful province. Want to know what places and activities you can explore on your visit? Here’s a list you don’t want to miss:

Contenido

 1) Tortuguero National Park:

Tortuguero is highly known for its turtle nesting on the beach. What distinguishes this park from others is that you have to explore it through its water canals, whether by kayak, boat, or canoe. You can spot turtles, frogs, monkeys, crocodiles and manatees here.

 2) Punta Uva:

Punta Uva is one of several beach options. It’s a great choice if you’re looking for beautiful white sand and a laid-back atmosphere. You can also go diving and explore the variety of aquatic fauna.

3) Ride Your Bike:

Limón has many areas you can visit on bike. Besides being refreshing, it is an economical way to explore many places such as Puerto Viejo, Cahuita, and Manzanillo.

 4) Cahuita National Park:

The main attractions of this park are the protected areas of living coral reef. Go diving and find rich marine flora and fauna such as crustaceans, turtles, fish and corals.

5) Taste the food:

You can’t say you know a place until you’ve tasted its food. Limón offers varied dishes full of Caribbean flavor, such as rice and beans, toad water (don’t be fooled by its name) and pan bon (a sweet, dark, spicy bread).

 6) Manzanillo:

Manzanillo is mandatory stop for visitors and beach lovers. The beauty of its corals, ideal for diving, makes it one of the most famous and visited beaches in the area. You won’t regret coming here.

 7) Sloth Sanctuary:

Little by little, the reputation of this home for sloths has grown. This reservation is responsible for collecting and caring for animals that have been abandoned, orphaned or attacked. Sloths are tender and peaceful creatures. If you haven’t been able to appreciate them up close, this is your chance.

 8) Puerto Viejo:

This beach is one of the most beautiful in Limón. It’s characterized by its crystal-clear waters and the contagious atmosphere of the Afro-Caribbean residents, making it an excellent choice for vacation.

Limón is full of adventures. We are sure that you’ll fall in love with everything it has to offer! Feel free to get a quote with us for your own trip to Costa Rica’s Caribbean at https://asuaire.com/
