The Rain Forest Aerial Tram is an hour’s drive away from San Jose. Going through the Braulio Carrillo National Park and on the other side of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range.

The Rain Forest Aerial Tram Atlantic is a 475-hectare (1,200-acre) secluded reserve that has a10 km border with the enormous Braulio Carrillo National Park.
And it serves to its incredible diversity creating a buffer zone to the impact of the farming lands, very close.
Have in mind that this is not an adventure tour in itself; the aerial tram moves relatively slow and barely makes any noise.
It is the longest tram ride in Costa Rica, and its rainforests are some of the purest you may get to see anywhere in the World, with an abundance of scenic views, wildlife sightings, and excellent bird watching.
The park has several highlights: the gondolas flying slowly above treetops, guided nature hikes for all levels of physical ability, birdwatching, a snake exhibition (with more than ten reptiles species), and a multi-colored Frog and Butterfly Garden.
A fantastic set up to see the primary forest and its natural splendor. Eager to find light and place, 80% of the life of the jungle have colonized the treetops, converting them into small, independently functioning ecosystems with breathtaking diversity.
You will start your tour as you arrive at the parking lot of the park and take their transportation to the depth of the forest.
Passing by some of the most picturesque natural settings, you will arrive at a small but busy center where you will meet your tour guide and get a short briefing about the Aerial Tram and the surrounding areas.
Afterward, your naturalist expert will take you to a short walk on paved trails to see some of the life on the floor of the jungle.
As your walk is on a loop, you will end in the area where you will board the gondola to go on the Aerial Tram tour.
The Aerial Tram tour covers 2.6 kilometers through and over the rainforest.
The ride lasts about an hour and twenty minutes and travels at the leisurely pace of two kilometers per hour, allowing you the chance to explore this exciting part of the forest fully while gliding pleasantly.
Depending on the time of the tour, before or after, you will enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by the fantastic rainforests and its exotic sounds, sights, and atmosphere.
