The Monteverde Butterflies and Orchid Garden begins when you are picked up at your hotel in a comfortable vehicle that will take you to the Monteverde Butterfly Garden.
This part begins with an introduction to insect life in Costa Rica and a brief orientation to the gardens.
First, you will be shown a magnificent collection of different insects and arachnids, passing afterward to the butterfly breeding area, where you will be able to see step by step the metamorphosis process.
Then you will walk through four unique gardens acclimatized to accommodate the needs of butterflies from different areas of Costa Rica.
Besides, you will see an active colony of leaf-cutting ants, which will let you know the inside of the nest and all its activity.
Your guide will provide you with lots of interesting information as the tour progresses, and you will always be able to ask all the questions you want.
At the end of the tour you will return to the vehicle that will transport you to the Orchid Garden of Monteverde.
