Welcome to Costa Rica!
As you leave the Juan Santamaria International Airport, our driver will be waiting to take you to the hotel. Take this opportunity to ask him or her what you need to know, and if you want to communicate with our offices, he will take care of it.
The Juan Santamaria International Airport is in the Great Metropolitan Area. This is the region where the main cities of Costa Rica and the most populated part of the country are located.
San Jose, the capital city, is a contrasting city, between culture, eclectic architecture, and a bit of chaos. Small but vibrant.
And it is worth a walk along its boulevards and visit, among other highlights, the museums of pre-Columbian art (especially the Gold and Jade museums), the Plaza de la Cultura, Costa Rica’s urban center and the unfailing Central Market.
In the Central Market, you may find exotic fruits, delicious and affordable food, and the permanent smiles of Costa Ricans.
Airport assistance
Upon arrival in Costa Rica, and after passing the migration zone -within the facilities-, a representative of CANATUR (Costa Rican Chamber of Tourism) will be waiting for you with a sign with your name. This is a service paid by Asuaire Travel to guide you within the airport and locate your transportation and driver.

DAY 2
Tortuguero
Tortuguero National Park is in one of the most popular regions of Costa Rica. Being remote and full of rainforest and wildlife, it is only accessible by air (additional cost) or water. However, the trip through the stunning canals of Tortuguero, with its exuberant vegetation and abundance of birds and animals, is well worth the boat trip.
Between July and October is the nesting season for the turtles.
On this day you will depart early in the morning (previously indicated) with your transportation and certified guide to drive through the breathtaking Braulio Carrillo National Park all the way to the region of Guápiles where you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast.
Following, you will travel through banana plantations and picturesque small towns until you arrive in the small pier where your boat will be waiting for you.
As your boat departs the pier, you will start witnessing the amazing forests that make this remote area one of the most visited by nature lovers from all over the World.
As you arrive in the lodge, a fresh fruit cocktail awaits you with the guidelines of your stay in the region.
After your included lunch buffet, your tour guide and captain will take you to the small village of Tortuguero. A unique town that has no cars, roads, or traffic signs.
You will visit the Turtle Museum, see the beach where the turtles arrive every year and have your opportunity to go to the groceries to get whatever you may need.
It is important to acknowledge that Tortuguero is a small village and you may not find specific items like medicines.

DAY 3
Tortuguero
You will start this day to the sounds of howler monkeys, toucans and other wonders of the area.
Your tour guide and skipper will take you by boat into the Tortuguero National Park where you will delight in the breathtaking nature of the area.
You may see three different species of monkeys (Howlers, Spider Monkeys and Capuchin white faced monkeys), several types of herons and egrets, several species of toucans, and if you are lucky you may even see sloths, anteaters, and neotropical otters.
Later in the day you will have more time to take it easy and enjoy the splendor of the rainforest right by the swimming pool. Or, if you like you can take an optional trip in kayak, or a walk through the jungle.
In the evening you may join a tour to watch the amazing green sea turtles nesting on the Tortuguero National park beach. This occurs between July and October. This excursion has an additional cost and can be booked once you are in the area.

DAY 4
Tortuguero
On this day you will enjoy your breakfast and leave the fascinating region of Tortuguero the same way you came in. At mid-morning, your boat will depart to go on the same route to the Guapiles area.
Here your tour guide and transportation will stop for lunch. And this is where your car is waiting for you.
From the Caribbean plains you will drive to the region of Arenal. An area crowned by the Arenal Volcano that will astonish you for the beauty of its rainforests, the fantastic array of colorful birds, the usual sounds of toucans and howler monkeys and, of course the view of the colossus above all.
Breakfast and departure from the hotel at mid-morning. We will stop for lunch in the area of Guápiles where the rental vehicles are delivered or from where the organized transfers leave to follow the route to the next destination. In case of returning to San Jose we will continue with the transport from Tortuguero.
The schedules and the order of the activities are defined by the guide the first day depending on the conditions of the climate and the behavior of the animals.
Arenal
The area of the Arenal Volcano, its national park and the incredible offer of hotels, experiences, and landscapes of the region, will make it one of your favorite places of your vacations.
It is situated in the flatlands of San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela. The major town is La Fortuna, 17 kilometers from the entry of the Arenal Volcano National Park.
You will also find as optional activities, magnificent thermae, pristine waterfalls amid the rainforest and gorgeous rafting rivers.

Arenal

Monteverde
Monteverde Region in Costa Rica is an extremely popular region in the Northwest area of Costa Rica.

Manuel Antonio
The Manuel Antonio region has world-class landscapes and beaches. Just imagine beaches of bright white sand, deep blue, warm water, and breathtaking sunsets as you enjoy the gentle swaying of the hammock hanging from the balcony of your room. You will feel the stress magically disappear from your body as it is soaked in the sunshine of Manuel Antonio.
Between the city of Quepos and the national park, there are numerous beaches, all surrounded by jungle. Places where monkeys play, iguanas rest and sloths are entertained.
You can experience a variety of activities such as walking in Manuel Antonio National Park, surfing, swimming or just relaxing while watching a dramatic sunset.
Manuel Antonio is one of the only two places in Costa Rica where you can see all four types of monkeys: howler, white face, spider and the endangered squirrel monkey, many of which can be seen from the balcony of your hotel.
The area is also an important destination for finding sloths, both inside and outside the national park.
This National Park is CLOSED on Mondays.
