The Coastal Kayak and Snorkeling tour on Tamarindo Bay take place in the gorgeous Tamarindo area.
You will enjoy the challenge of kayaking to a close-by rocky isle where you will pull your kayak inland for the marine guided snorkeling expedition or take it easy at the beach.
This tour is tidally depending.
Your certified local guide will point the marine life as you swim in the water.
Your tour will start as you meet your tour guides and receive a short safety and instructions briefing. If you have never paddled on a kayak before, don’t worry, you will always be escorted.
You can pick either tandem or take a single sea kayak. And you will get your life vest and tidy, well-kept snorkeling gear. After safety instructions, you’ll hit the beach to get on your kayak and go to the small rocky island in front of the coast.
You’ll strike your pace paddling into the usually mild waves of the bay, towards Capitan island.
Probably one of the most beautiful views of Tamarindo is from the ocean. Never mind the season there are always patches of bright green in the coastline and hills behind.
Once you get to the island, you will pull your kayak to a beach and let your tour guide give you a short view of the island.
You will go then to a guided exploration tour in the shallow waters of the rocks where you may get to see some small but breathtaking tropical fish, corals, octopi, and manta rays, to name some.
You may then get in the deeper areas where more fish schools and bigger marine life may be waiting for you. If you have never snorkeled before, please let your guides know. They will be happy to teach you.
After you have enjoyed a break and well-rested, you will retake the paddle and head back to Tamarindo Beach.
On the way in and out, be alert as you may watch some dolphin schools, giant manta rays, sea turtles, and even, in season, a humpback whale.
