The Extreme Adventure in Selvatura Park takes place at Selvatura Park, a private sanctuary and adventure park very close to the Santa Helena Reserve.
Selvatura has 13 cables, including a 1 Km one (3280 feet), 15 platforms. A total of 2,4 miles (4 km) in ziplines and a Tarzan swing over an extent of especially stunning virgin cloud forest.
Together to the cables, it has 1.9 miles (3 Km) of ‘Treetops Walkways.’
At an extra cost, you can also visit a fantastic hummingbird garden, a butterfly garden, and an amphibian and reptile exhibition.
You will be using first-class quality safety gear, helmet, and gloves.
People of all ages can enjoy it, even though it is not prescribed for people with weight excess or pregnancy.
This tour blends two of the most popular activities of Costa Rica, the intensity of adventure and full immersion in nature.
You may also have extreme fun in the Tarzan Swing. This experience will take you on a swing across the forest tied to a high-security cable.
And you can intensify the Extreme Adventure experience by reserving the Superman choice.
An off hands experience that allows you to soar through the forest dressed up in a special all-body harness and laying down in the iconic superheroes position while you fly over the forest.
You will start the tour as you meet your tour guides, and they set you up with all the needed security gear.
Afterward, you will start walking in the forest to start the canopy tour on the first platform.
But before you go, you will receive a safety and instructions briefing from your tour guides. Please make sure you understand everything well, as these are vital guidelines once on the ziplines.
The first ziplines are shorter, and lines get longer as you advance in the tour.
That way, you will get used to the whole activity before you get to the longest ziplines.
As you finish the canopy tour, you will start the portion of the walkways.
The walkways combine 1.9 miles (3 Km) of trails, including eight hanging bridges of different lengths that vary from 170 feet to 560 feet (51 m to 170 m).
All bridges are 5-foot wide and resist up to 80 people with railings up to the chest, creating a secure system of aerial paths.
It is recommended to go with a naturalist tour guide who can interpret the cloud forest for you. If you are interested, please advise at the time of reservation.
