1. Take the seasons into account.

3. Brush up on your Spanish.
Much of Costa Rica actually speaks English, but it’s good to know a few key phrases to get around. Like “Pura Vida”!
4. Change your money to colones or dollars.
We recommend changing Euros to Dollars in your country, and then in Costa Rica you can pay in dollars, this currency is widely accepted. Cards are also widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and it’s easy to find ATMs that dispense money in colones and dollars.
We don’t recommend changing money at the airport since the rates are much higher.
5. Try the Caribbean rather than the Pacific.
Costa Rica is known and celebrated for the beautiful beaches along its Pacific coast, but there are some incredible hidden jewels on its Caribbean side as well. Consider the road less travelled!

6. Connect your phone.
The most important telephone companies in the country are Claro, Movistar and Kolbi, and they have an branch office in the airport, which closes at 22:00 hours and there you can purchase a SIM card for your phone.
7. Seek assistance 24/7 in case of an emergency.
Asuaire Travel‘s telephone service is available 24 hours a day, so if you need assistance, you can call at any time and an agent will answer you.
8. Be your most sustainable self.
The best tourists are the ones that do their best to contribute to Costa Rica’s aforementioned environmental efforts, which the country takes very seriously. So pack a reusable water bottle, properly dispose of your trash, and turn off all the lights when you leave.
