Day 2
Quiriguá
Today you will depart to the archaeological site of Quiriguá, located in the shore of the great Motagua River. This area is between a complex of sculpted rock steles that surround the tallest stele in the Mayan World. Taller than 10 meters, it is easy to appreciate the zoomorphic figures from the classic period of the mayans.
After this visit you will continue to Rio Dulce.

Day 3
Livingstone
After breakfast you will continue with your trip to Rio Dulce. Here a boat will be waiting for you to visit the Garifuna tribe town of Livingstone, which is famous for its coconut bread.
From the upper side of the river you can watch the lush green vegetation and the canyon. Following the canals you will have a panoramic tour of the Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, a fortress built in the XVll century by the Spaniards to prevent the plundering coming from the surroundings of the lake.

Day 4
Tikal
Today you will head to the archaeological site of Tikal, the most important in the Mayan World which means “Place of whispers”, built during the classic period of the Mayans.
In the archeological site of Tikal your guide will take you for a walk. There is a small-scale model of the temple and the Acropolis, the Q & R complex, the central citadel, the temple of the Great Jaguar (One of the most important temples) and the Mascarones temple. Later if weather allows it you can visit the lost world. Returning in the afternoon to the visitors’ center to have lunch.
At certain time you will begin your trip back to the hotel to rest for the day.

Chisec
Today you will leave from Flores to Coban. On your way to Coban you will visit the indigenous town of Chisec. A place where the mayan language is still spoken. Here also you will have a typical mayan dish called “Chunto broth” or “Kaki K”.

Day 6
Semuc Champey
Today you will depart to Semuc Chamey. Here is located the town of Lanquin on the side of the “Cahabon Senmuc Champey” River. Here there is a atural bridge with 500 meters long under which the Cahabon river flows.
On top side some small lagoons are formed and are replenished by the mountain springs. Located on a small canyon formed by sedimentary and limestone. The area is in the very wet tropical forest, subtropical and hot.

Day 7
Biotopo del Quetzal
You will get to know one of the most important touristic places located Purulha, the Biotope of the Quetzal.
Is a conservation area of 1175 hectares dominated by the cloud forest and mountains as high as 2300 meters high over the sea level. These huge forest work as a natural barrier against the storms from the Caribbean sea.
It is distinguished because it is an example of an administration system used by the communities to protect more than 50 species of plants, trees taller than 120 feet high, including some specimens taller than 250 feet high with more than 430 years old.
After the tour is finished you will take transportation towards Guatemala City.

Chichicastenango
Today you will depart very early to the guatemalan central valley where you will have the chance to see the multicolored market of Chichicastenango and the Church of Santo Tomás.
Atitlán Lake
Later at a convenient time you will depart to the lake of Atitlan, surrounded by three volcanoes: Atitlan, Toliman and San Pedro. In its crystal like waters you will enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings reflected in the water and enjoy a panoramic view of Panajachel.

San Juan La Laguna
At 9 am you will grab a boat ride to the town of San Juan de la Laguna, to do a walk through the city and to visit the Catholic Church.
You can visit the chocolate factory to know about the making process of chocolate and the textile factory where you can learn about the making of tints used in the beautiful shrouds and finally a visit to the medicinal plants artisans.
In the afternoon you will head to Panajachel to continue to Antigua Guatemala.

Day 10
Antigua Guatemala
You will have a full day to explore Antigua Guatemala. Visit the most important monuments in the colonial city which has been declared Humanity’s World Heritage and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in America.
During the colonial period this city was the capital of the Kingdom of Guatemala, a political center, cultural, religious and economical in the area of Central America.
Later in the afternoon you will have time to visit the towns of San Juan del Obispo and Santa María de Jesús.

Today a transfer will take you to the international airport at an arranged time to begin your trip back home.
