Located in the Department of Petén, in northern Guatemala, Uaxactún was one of the first Mayan archaeological sites excavated in the area known as the Mayan lowlands.
Uaxactún is a Maya site, located about 25 km north of Tikal, in Petén, Guatemala. Its name in antiquity was Siaan K’aan, that means Born of the Sky. Departure from the central area of Flores very early, for your transfer to Uaxactún. (90 km, approximately 2 hours), continuation to the Archaeological Site by the Maya Biosphere Reserve, Arrival to Uaxactún and visit of the archaeological site. Lunch at the agreed time with our guide, continuation towards the hotels of the area of Flores and nearby places.
